A seed ball is a hand-rolled sphere of red clay soil, nutrient-rich compost, and native seeds. The clay shell protects the seed from birds, insects and the harsh sun — creating a sealed micro-ecosystem.
When the first rain comes, the clay slowly dissolves. The compost floods the seed with nutrition. The soil anchors the first roots. What you could hold in one hand — becomes a tree that will outlive you.
A barren roadside. A school compound. A degraded forest patch. An empty urban lot. The Seed Ball carries its own ecosystem inside it. You just have to throw it — rain does the rest.
Traditional tree plantation needs nurseries, trucks, workers, water tanks and months of daily attention. A Seed Ball needs none of that.
One Green Leader can carry 500 seed balls in a backpack. A school of 200 students can seed an entire degraded forest patch in one afternoon. A corporate team of 30 can restore a hillside before lunch.
GCC made the Seed Ball our symbol because it proves transformation needs no permission, no resources, no expertise — only intention. The same way every Green Leader begins.
