01Policy Overview
🚫 ALL PAYMENTS MADE TO GCC ARE FINAL, ABSOLUTE, AND NON-REFUNDABLE UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES WITHOUT EXCEPTION. BY MAKING ANY PAYMENT TO GCC, YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE TO THIS POLICY IN ITS ENTIRETY.
This Refund Policy ("Policy") applies to all monetary transactions made to GCC – Green Contribution Certificate ("GCC," "we," "us," or "our"), including but not limited to registration fees, program enrollment fees, fellowship fees, seed ball product costs, event fees, merchandise purchases, and any other payment of any nature made to GCC through any channel, online or offline.
This Policy is part of GCC's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, all of which together constitute a binding legal agreement between you and GCC. By making any payment to GCC, you confirm that you have read, understood, and irrevocably agreed to this Policy.
02Nature of All Payments — Donations to GCC's Mission
All monetary amounts received by GCC — regardless of how they are described, categorized, or labeled at the time of collection — are voluntary contributions and donations made in support of GCC's green leadership mission and environmental programs. This includes:

GCC is a mission-driven green leadership ecosystem. All amounts received are channeled directly into GCC's programs, infrastructure, leadership development, environmental projects, seed ball production, community initiatives, and operational sustainability. Your contribution supports a living, growing ecosystem — not a commercial service transaction.
💛 When you pay any amount to GCC, you are not purchasing a commercial product or service — you are making a donation to a cause. You are planting a seed. GCC does not offer refunds any more than a donation to a cause can be recalled after it has been invested in the mission.
03Absolute No-Refund Policy
GCC maintains a strict, unconditional, and absolute no-refund policy. No refund, credit, partial refund, transfer of credit, voucher, or any other form of compensation will be issued under any of the following circumstances, which are provided for illustration only and do not limit the scope of this Policy:
3.1 Change of Mind
No refund will be issued where you change your mind about participating in any program, event, or activity after making payment, regardless of the time elapsed since payment.
3.2 Non-Attendance
No refund will be issued for non-attendance at any event, workshop, program, or activity for any reason, including personal emergency, illness, work commitments, travel issues, or any other circumstance.
3.3 Program Not Meeting Expectations
No refund will be issued on the grounds that a program, event, fellowship, or activity did not meet your expectations, regardless of the nature of your dissatisfaction.
3.4 Non-Completion of Program
No refund will be issued where you commence but do not complete a program, workshop, fellowship, or certification, for any reason including withdrawal, disqualification, or personal circumstances.
3.5 Non-Selection or Rejection
No refund will be issued where you apply and pay for a selective program (such as the GCC Fellowship) and are not selected or accepted. The payment is treated as a donation irrespective of selection outcome.
3.6 Certificate Not Received
No refund will be issued on the grounds that you did not receive a certificate, credential, or recognition, including where GCC determines you did not meet the criteria for certification.
3.7 Program Modifications
No refund will be issued where GCC modifies, changes, postpones, or restructures any program, event, or activity, including changes to: content or curriculum; facilitators, trainers, or speakers; dates, timings, or schedule; delivery mode (online vs. offline); location or venue.
3.8 Technical Issues
No refund will be issued for inability to access or use GCC's platform due to technical issues on your device, internet connectivity problems, browser incompatibility, or any other technical issue within or outside GCC's control.
3.9 Personal Circumstances
No refund will be issued due to personal circumstances including but not limited to: relocation, employment changes, family emergencies, health issues, financial difficulties, or any other personal situation.
3.10 Duplicate Payments
In the event of a duplicate payment arising from a technical error (for example, double-clicking a payment button), GCC will investigate and, at its sole discretion, may apply the duplicate amount as a credit toward future GCC programs or activities. This is not a refund and is entirely at GCC's discretion.
3.11 Membership Termination
No refund will be issued upon termination of GCC membership, whether initiated by you or by GCC, for any reason.
3.12 Dissatisfaction with Outcomes
No refund will be issued on the basis that participation in GCC programs did not result in any expected or desired outcome, including employment, career advancement, income, environmental results, personal development, or any other outcome.
04Scope — What This Policy Covers
This Policy applies to all payments made through all channels, including:
- GCC's official website and online platform
- Third-party payment gateways linked from GCC's platform
- Bank transfers or NEFT/RTGS payments to GCC's accounts
- UPI payments to GCC's registered UPI handles
- Cash payments accepted at GCC events or offices (where applicable)
- Payments made on behalf of institutions or organizations for GCC programs
- Payments made by parents or guardians on behalf of minors
- Any other channel through which GCC receives funds
This Policy applies to all individuals and entities making payments to GCC, including individual members, institutional participants, corporate partners, schools, and any other party.
05Cancellations & Changes by GCC
5.1 GCC's Right to Cancel
GCC reserves the absolute right to cancel, postpone, modify, or discontinue any program, event, fellowship, or activity at any time and for any reason, including Force Majeure events, insufficient enrollment, regulatory requirements, safety concerns, or operational decisions. GCC's exercise of this right does not entitle any participant to a refund of any amount paid.
5.2 GCC's Response to Cancellations
Where GCC cancels a program or event entirely and is unable to offer an alternative, GCC may, entirely at its discretion and without any obligation, offer participants one or more of the following non-monetary alternatives:
- Priority enrollment in the next available session of the same or similar program
- Access to alternative GCC programs or resources of equivalent value
- A credit note applicable to future GCC programs (valid for 12 months)
- A letter of acknowledgment recognizing your contribution to GCC's mission
GCC's offer of any such alternative is a goodwill gesture and does not constitute an admission of liability or an obligation to provide any particular alternative in any future situation. The decision to offer any alternative, and what alternative to offer, is entirely at GCC's sole discretion and cannot be demanded or enforced by any participant.
ℹ️ Note: Even where GCC offers a goodwill alternative as described above, this does not create a general obligation or precedent. GCC is not required to offer any alternative in any cancellation situation, and this section should not be interpreted as creating any right to compensation, credit, or alternative.
5.3 Postponements
Where GCC postpones a program or event to a new date, participants' registrations will be automatically transferred to the new date. Participants who cannot attend the rescheduled date are not entitled to any refund. GCC may offer, at its sole discretion, a transfer to another program session.
06Program Transfers
In exceptional circumstances, and entirely at GCC's sole discretion, GCC may consider a request to transfer your enrollment from one program session to another. Any such transfer:
- Is subject to availability of space in the requested session
- Must be requested in writing at least 14 days before the original program date
- May be subject to an administrative transfer fee as determined by GCC
- Is a one-time accommodation only — subsequent transfer requests will not be considered
- Is not available for all program types — GCC will advise on eligibility
- Does not constitute a right — GCC may decline any transfer request without giving reasons
Transfers between individuals (i.e., transferring your enrollment to another person) are not permitted without GCC's express written consent.
07Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
⚠️ Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider in relation to a GCC payment is a breach of these Terms and this Policy, and constitutes fraudulent misrepresentation of our no-refund donation policy.
7.1 Chargeback Policy
You agree not to initiate any chargeback, payment reversal, or dispute with your bank, credit card provider, payment gateway, or any other financial institution in respect of any payment made to GCC. By making a payment to GCC, you acknowledge that the payment is a voluntary donation and that no goods or services were promised that were not delivered in accordance with GCC's stated policies.
7.2 Consequences of Unauthorized Chargebacks
Where GCC becomes aware that you have initiated an unauthorized chargeback or payment dispute, GCC reserves the right to:
- Immediately suspend or permanently terminate your GCC membership without notice
- Revoke all GCC certificates, credentials, and Green Leader designations issued to you
- Pursue legal action for recovery of the disputed amount plus associated costs, legal fees, and damages
- Report the chargeback to relevant authorities as appropriate
- Blacklist you from future participation in any GCC program, event, or activity
7.3 Legitimate Disputes
If you believe a payment was processed incorrectly — for example, you were charged an amount different from what was communicated, or a technical error resulted in an erroneous charge — you must first contact GCC directly at payments@gcc.org.in with full details of the alleged error. GCC will investigate and respond within 10 business days. Only if GCC's investigation confirms a genuine error in processing will GCC take corrective action. Such corrective action does not constitute a refund under this Policy.
08Payment Errors & Technical Issues
8.1 Failed Payments
Where a payment attempt fails and your bank or payment provider still debits your account, you must contact your bank or payment provider directly. GCC is not responsible for amounts debited by your financial institution in respect of failed transactions. GCC will cooperate with investigations by providing transaction records upon request.
8.2 Duplicate Payments
If you believe you have made a duplicate payment due to a technical error, contact GCC at payments@gcc.org.in within 48 hours of the transaction with payment proof for both transactions. GCC will investigate and may, at its sole discretion, credit the duplicate amount to your GCC account for use in future programs.
8.3 Incorrect Amount Charged
If GCC's system charges you an amount different from the amount you were quoted at the time of enrollment, contact GCC within 48 hours. GCC will investigate. If a genuine overcharge is confirmed, GCC will process a correction. Undercharges discovered by GCC may require additional payment from you.
8.4 Payment Gateway Issues
GCC uses third-party payment gateways to process transactions. GCC is not responsible for technical failures, errors, or security issues arising from or within the payment gateway systems. Disputes with payment gateways must be directed to the relevant gateway provider. GCC will assist with providing transaction records upon reasonable request.
09Removal from Programs & Membership Termination
GCC may remove any participant from any program, and may suspend or terminate any membership, at any time for any reason, including violations of the Code of Conduct, breach of Terms, or any behavior GCC deems inappropriate. Removal from a program or termination of membership does not entitle the affected individual to any refund of any amount paid to GCC.
Similarly, where a participant voluntarily withdraws from a program or terminates their membership, no refund of any amount paid will be issued. All prior payments are irrevocable donations to GCC's mission.
10Force Majeure
GCC is not liable for any failure, delay, cancellation, or modification of programs or services due to Force Majeure events beyond GCC's reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, cyclones, etc.)
- Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies
- Government orders, lockdowns, or regulatory prohibitions
- War, civil unrest, strikes, or social disruption
- Widespread power outages or internet failures
- Any other event beyond GCC's reasonable control
No refunds will be issued for cancellations, postponements, or changes to programs and events caused by Force Majeure events. GCC will endeavor to communicate with affected participants promptly and, where possible, will explore goodwill alternatives as described in Section 5.2.
11GCC's Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GCC's total liability to you in connection with any payment made to GCC shall not exceed the total amount you have actually paid to GCC in connection with the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.
GCC is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages arising from or relating to any payment made to GCC or any refund denied under this Policy. GCC is not liable for any loss of opportunity, income, employment, or any other benefit allegedly arising from participation (or inability to participate) in any GCC program or activity.
GCC does not make any representations or warranties regarding the outcomes, results, or benefits of any of its programs, events, fellowships, or activities. No payment to GCC is made on the basis of any promised outcome, and the absence of any particular outcome does not give rise to any right to a refund.
12Your Acknowledgement & Agreement
By making any payment to GCC, you expressly acknowledge, agree, and confirm the following:
- You have read, understood, and agree to this Refund Policy in its entirety before making any payment.
- All payments to GCC are voluntary donations to GCC's green leadership mission and are non-refundable in all circumstances.
- You are not making a payment in expectation of any guaranteed outcome, result, certificate, recognition, or benefit.
- GCC is not a commercial vendor selling products or services with associated consumer protection rights that include the right to a refund.
- You will not initiate any chargeback, payment reversal, or dispute with your bank or payment provider in relation to any GCC payment.
- You waive any and all rights to any refund, credit, or compensation from GCC in respect of any payment made.
- You have made your payment decision freely, voluntarily, and with full knowledge of this Policy.

13Governing Law
This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to this Policy shall be subject to the dispute resolution and jurisdiction provisions in GCC's Terms and Conditions, which apply equally to this Policy.
